The REALIS Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the Open University of Maidan (VUM), has launched the “Veteran Leadership for Community Development” project. The initiative aims to strengthen the role of veterans, women veterans, and their family members in the development of local communities, local self-government, and decision-making at the community level.
Project participants will have the opportunity to receive training in leadership, project management, communications, and cooperation with local self-government bodies, as well as develop their own community initiatives tailored to the needs of their communities.
The project will include cooperation with local communities, strategic planning sessions, a comprehensive training program, and support for veteran-led initiatives. We believe that the experience, knowledge, and leadership potential of veterans can become a powerful driving force for positive change in communities across Ukraine.

This project is implemented under the Veterans Rehabilitation and Reintegration program, implemented by IREX with the support of the U.S. Department of State.
