Realis Continues to Support Semenivka — a Town Nearby the War

Semenivka is a small town in the north of the Chernihiv region, just 12 kilometers from the state border. Today, shelling is a daily reality, and the threat is constant. Yet it remains a place of remarkable strength and resilience. Despite the difficult circumstances, people stay, persevere, tend their gardens, and maintain their connection to the land — and that inspires deep respect.

Recently, another round of shelling damaged the local hospital in Semenivka — windows were shattered, and walls were left scarred. Despite this, the facility continues to operate, as people need medical help every day. But even basic necessities are required for it to function: warmth, a safe environment, and protected windows.

Last week, the Humanitarian Department team of the Realis Charitable Foundation visited Semenivka once again. We delivered food packages to large families and to those in the most difficult circumstances.

We met with residents of the modular housing settlement, spoke with the town’s mayor, discussed the community’s urgent needs, and reaffirmed our commitment to continued cooperation.

This is not Realis’s first mission to Semenivka. Over the past few years, we have:

  • supported the local hospital and provided medical equipment;

  • assisted with the installation of modular homes for internally displaced persons (IDPs);

  • contributed to the construction of a concrete shelter.

We are grateful for the trust and the opportunity to serve together. Because even in the most remote and vulnerable communities, life goes on — and we want to be there, right where help is needed most.
