Friends, we invite you to a special mini-course dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Realis!
“The Psalms, Pastoral Care, and Counseling: A Biblical-Therapeutic Model”
Schedule: April 25; May 2, 9, and 16
17:00 – 20:15
Format: Online (Zoom)
FREE
The course will be taught by Dr. BRYAN WIDBIN, a beloved instructor of several generations of our students!
Here is how Dr. Widbin describes his course: “The Reformer John Calvin once called the biblical Psalms ‘an anatomy of all parts of the soul.’ Surely, this is true—and even more! Our course explains how these political hymns were designed to bring help and hope to people devastated both inwardly and outwardly. We then move to practical application: how, in our day, the Psalms function as powerful therapeutic resources for emotional resilience.”
We will be glad to see Realis alumni from past years—from the historic “OR Project” (1996–2001) to the present—as well as all who wish to join us in experiencing how the Psalms give language to the experiences of the human heart and in exploring the depths of the biblical concept of MISHPAT.
